    Good News! 91影视 Approved for 27 Research Projects in 2025 by Guangdong Province, Including Key Research Platforms, Innovation Teams, and Special Projects in Key Areas

    Recently, 91影视 (SMBU) received Notification of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education on the Announcement of the List of Key Research Platforms and Project Approvals for Regular Universities in 2025 and Notification of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education on the Announcement of the List of Approved Recognized Scientific Research Projects for Regular Universities in 2025. According to the notices, the university has been approved for a total of 27 research projects under various categories, including key research platforms, innovation teams, and special projects in key fields.

    Among these, the “Key Laboratory for Green Energy Storage Materials” led by Professor Li Shukui from the Faculty of Materials Science has been approved as a key laboratory for universities in Guangdong Province. The “Digital Economy and Economic and Trade Cooperation Research Base for Countries along the ‘Belt and Road’” led by Professor Meng Fanchen has been approved as a key research base for humanities and social sciences in Guangdong Province. The innovation teams of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute led by Professor Fan Xiaoyi, the Faculty of Materials Science led by Professor Chang Shuai, and the Faculty of Biology led by Professor Shi Xiangyan, have been approved as innovation teams for universities in Guangdong Province. This marks the second consecutive year that the university has achieved a 100% approval rate for innovation team projects.

    In addition, the university has also been granted approval for 6 special innovation projects, 6 youth innovation talent projects, and 10 special projects in key fields for universities in Guangdong Province. The special projects in key fields have seen a 20% growth compared to the previous year, covering strategic areas such as next-generation electronic information, artificial intelligence, biomedicine and health, and services related to the “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Projects,” demonstrating the university's advantages in cutting-edge technology and its multifaceted strategic layout in various sectors.
